We stayed here for a conference and it was the strangest experience that we have ever had. As for the room, it was nice, but almost at the end of the. We had to ask another guest where the elevator was for the hotel. We were never greeted by an employee, I think that they must be really short handed. We have yet to figure out exactly what the fee was for. We were surprised to find out that there was a $25 resort fee, which we had not been informed of since we booked through a coordinator. We did the self check in kiosk, which was fairly straight forward. There are no luggage carts, so if you don’t have rolling luggage, be prepared to carry it a long way. On the way, we passed a large ballroom area that seems to still be under construction. We parked in the garage for the tower and it is a 1/4 mile walk to get to the hotel lobby. There’s not really any signage to tell you where anything is except for a couple of boards on stands here and there. We were in the new Cherokee tower and it was really confusing. They just didn’t seem to have it together. It’s like someone read a book or watched a video on how to run a hotel and just got some of the points.
